First Impressions at the Florida RV Supershow
Today was the first day of the Florida RV Supershow, and what a day it has been! We have been to plenty of local RV shows, but this is our first big, national RV show. In researching about the show, we found that just about every RV manufacturer will be here, vendors from around the country and campgrounds from sea to sea.
Our hearts were overjoyed when we entered the gates. We turned the corner of the first exhibit and stopped dead in our tracks. 
What did we see right in front of us? The RV most of us can only dream of, a Prevost. I have seen them on lots of RV TV shows, but near a brand new one in person. Do we go check them out or just move on to “normal” RV’s? Being this close, we couldn’t resist taking a quick peak inside a multi-million dollar RV. One word, breathtaking…
Back to the real world, we grabbed the mapped and started to plan how we were going to spend the next few hours. We realized pretty quickly, if we wanted to see the bulk of this show it would take days not hours.
First part of the day we spent checking out the venders in the multiple exhibit halls. Saw lots of gadgets, helpful tools and accessories for RV travel.
Campground vendors from the entire country handed out material on places we need to visit.
Next we checked out a few bunk model Class A’s (full blog on this coming soon).
Mostly, we got comfortable with the locations of RV’s, seminars schedules and exhibits. We have our plan of attack and are ready to tackle just about every inch of the Florida RV Super show over the next few days. Check back in a few days for our full review of the show.
- Quick Tip 1 – plan to spend a few days, not hours to see all you need to see at a RV show this size.
- Quick Tip 2 – The food is carnival like, lots of fried foods, funnel cake, corndogs, French fries, etc. Bring healthy snacks to you don’t get a stomachache.
- Quick Tip 3 – Wear confortable shoes/sneakers. Take breaks from window-shopping. Going in and out up and down stairs of RV’s will wear you out!
- Quick Tip 4 – Grab a map and make a plan. There is so much to see. Make sure you get to the things most important to you. Don’t waste time checking out pop ups if you’re a Class A person. Save that type of window shopping for the end after you have conquered your “must see” items.
