The minute we pulled into this campground we knew we would be back. This is a fantastic campground whether you relaxing for a weekend or using it as a base camp. To book your site click below
RV sites – 5 types of RV sites
- Orange site – FHU Cable, Premium
- Purple Sites– FHU Cable, Premium
- Red site – basic FHU for MH, TT, 5th wheels
- Blue Sites – W,E for MH, TT, 5th wheels
- Yellow sites – W,E Pop-up and tents – Site rentals range from $26 to $41 per night.
Price ranges – $33-$69 plus per night
- 35 total spaces.
- all FHU
- both 50 and 30 amps sites available
- Max size – width 25 length 45ft
- 2 pull thrus (25×45) – basically for overnight guest.
- back-ins are longer (40×50) – many are creekside
- They do offer tent sites with W/E or primitive sites also.
Deluxe Cabins – Four cabins for rent, $120/night or holidays prices increases slightly.
2 Premium sites – These were some of the nicest we have ever seen. They have patio with gas grill, fire pit and table all on a wooden deck.
- Has a decent camp store with all the supplies you need.
- Laundry room
- Propane is for sale as well as firewood

Campground amenities
- nice pool, not overly large but good size
- Large field with Tether ball, basketball and horseshoes area
- playground for the kids
- Kids enjoyed the huge outdoor checker board
- Walking and Hiking trails around the campground

JONES GAP STATE PARK – 303 Jones Gap Road Marietta, SC 29661
- Great hiking trails and water falls less than 30 minutes away

CAESARS HEAD STATE PARK 8155 Geer Highway Cleveland, SC 29635
- At this park you can fish or hike the trails. One trail leads you to the a suspension bridge near the 420 ft Raven Cliff Falls. You will totally enjoy the beautiful mountain views. Less than 30 minutes from the campgrounds

CAMPBELLS COVERED BRIDGE – Constructed in 1909 Campbell’s Covered Bridge is the only remaining covered bridge in the State of South Carolina. We took the kids and it is a great photo op as well a place for them to learn about the past. it’s only a short 20 minutes ride from te campground
Our Final thoughts…..
We have typically tried to stay in a premium site, but the premium sites here at Traveler’s rest take it to a new level. They are so inviting, and call to me to pull up and stay awhile. We will certainly make this campground our base case while we explore that area for a week or more!
