We found this wonderful RV Resort after spending time at Disney’s Fort Wilderness. We wanted to spend another week in the Orlando area and needed a second place to go that was close to Disney. After doing some online research we came across… Citrus Valley RV Resort.

Pros
They say location, location, location. Citrus Valley wins on that alone. Only 8 miles from Disney and close to all the shopping you will ever need. We loved having a brand new Publix supermarket outside the gates. We felt very at home and comfortable at Citrus Valley. The sites are in pristine condition, with this being a ownership RV resort, the pride owners take is very evident. As renters we were concerned how we would be received, but those fears were quickly dashed. It seemed that most owners went out of their way to say hello and make us feel welcomed.
Kids enjoyed playing in the kids playground and in the heated pool! There’s a putting green with 8 holes for the kids to practice putting.
Shuffleboard, horseshoes rounds out the outdoor games area. There are picnic tables and BBQ for all to use. This is a great park to take walks and is dog friendly. We really liked the fact it was a gated entrance for added security .
There is a workout room and you will see plenty of residents and visitors walking the campground for exercise.
There are also events at the pool deck. While we visiting they had a burger and dog event. Renters were welcome, not just the owners. This resort is dog friendly with a small dog run/park in the rear of the resort.
Sites – All pavers. We stayed in a long pull through site near the clubhouse. It gave us great access to the playground and pool. All sites are 50 Amp & FHU.
Cons:
The wifi is barely functional outside of the clubhouse. We spent many an afternoon inside the clubhouse so the boys could connect and get their homeschool work done. Also you do need to get a cable box if you want full cable, make sure you return it when leaving. While there is a dog park/run, it’s really small.
Overall this is a great RV resort! If you want a true RV resort close to Disney, then this is the place for you. We loved it so much, we are entertaining becoming owners. Once they fix wifi, and add a hot tub and it would be a 10+!
